Very well composed and tracked tune -- high quality samples and sound. The song itself is smooth and conjures up images of sailing out on the sea for me.

Nice folk melody than reminds me of celtic music or pirate scales or fairy tale music.

The only negative is the lack of variation.

This mod, and also the artist, are both among the real greats.

In reply to XelKarin: Vesa "Warder" Norilo has not disappeared anywhere, he's just moved on from Impulse Tracker. :E His music still lives on, he's an active performing musician, composer and researcher into music and music technology.

Muuttohaukka has since been re-recorded with actual performing musicians as the song "Haukka" by the Finnish folk band Hereä, which Warder is a part of.

I discovered the mod scene and began listening around the turn of the millennium. I discovered warder then too. You can do a search for warder and Muuttohaukka now and find his song converted to MP3 and posted everywhere, but the artist himself seems to have disappeared. It saddens me.

"oh merde", this is what I've been repeating all along the song. This guy is really good.

Very good folk music. I like Warder´s style, high level to compose music and great samples. Fantastic track!

Musically this song is great! Really, one of the best songs I've heard. The melody are well done, and there's nothing I could think about that is wrong. The Accordion really sounds realistic, and so do the rest of the instruments. This is a masterwork! You won't even notice it's tracked. There's not many samples in the song, only 17. Most are 16-bit, and there's also some 8-bit samples... They are all great, and the artist really knows how to use them (You won't notice anything nasty, even the 8-bit samples sound great)... The only thing I could think about that was wrong is that the panning wasn't good enough. It could have been done a little bit better. However, since that is a minor problem, this song gets 10 anyway.
