The bee's knees. If you had to pick just one XM file, this would be a pretty decent choice. Even the vocals, usually sorry nightmarish pitfalls of inaptitude and cringe factor number one, fall gracefully and subtly in line. 10/10.
Not convincing. Technically above average (even if some instruments are too loud comparing with rest). This piece is very repetitive. We have here only a few phrases. For me it is not enough to be able to bring me in the chill mood. Section with the guitars is the best part of module.
I have expected much more.
Xerxes has something special in his ambient/mystical songs. Absolutely great feeling and composing in this tune and an excellent voice. An awesome piece of music - something to dream!
prepare to get hypnotized by the vibes of the tune. don't you hesitate - xerxes is the great mental master of chill ambient.
Wonderful piece. Stunning clarity with well thought out progressions. I really like the chill out stuff of Xerxes :) Specifically the guitar parts have quite a realistic feel to them which is really quite impressive, as are the snippets of vocals made for this track.
Yep, another 10/10 here. Not because it's xerxes but because he does great music! ;-D
It's again his great style that convinces me instantly. Plus, this tune has terrific vocals! I normally are someone who does not really like vocals but in this tune, they are used so well with some nice effects so they really add to the piece.
All in all, a must download-tune!
You know the kind of music that carries in straight to your being and just gives you the shivers? That rare song you find maybe just once or twice a year... well here's one of those. "Marie" is an ambient track carried on some bass, a rather interesting and varied drumtrack and some soft guitars. On top of that are some vocals that fit in really well to the rest of the song. This is one song I'd defenitely rush off and buy a CD for... if it wasn't a mod. Well there's really nothing to complain about, the sample quality is really good, the song is almost 5 minutes long full of constantly varied and interesting music. From the beginning to the end, all the way through this is a swaying and turning song, never getting repetetive. The vocals deserve to be mentioned too, because they are of a really high standard, and are used in a way that's breathtaking. To sum it all up, just about one of the best mods I've ever heard, and one of my favourite songs too, from now on.

Smooth tune, good samples, and an ambient feel. Nice stuff. That said, I was not expecting there to be lyrics in this tune. They fit in very well though I must say. If I had to describe the vocal effects I suppose the epithet I'd use is "dreamy."
