zhis module is good :-)

Fairly average. After the first melody you've basically seen it all. Rest is okay, but nothing groundbreaking

I should write an opinion. Voice samples sometimes get me annoyed, but for early 90s this is really good. lead choices is perfect for me.

One of my favorites from the 90s. Oscilloscope view here: https://youtu.be/D79_1wa8WfA

Love this song. One of the few mods that stayed with me over the years.
No collection is complete without it.

What I can say about this module? First, this module is currently ranked 3rd in The Most Downloaded Modules chart. That's nice. Second, this module is very old. It's OK. Third, the melody is pretty catchy. That's good. But I think it lacks something, and I don't know what exactly is missing. This feeling does not allow me to deservedly rate this module. But, anyway, this module deserves a listen and a place in my favourites.
By the way, I am writing this comment exactly 20 years after this module was added to TMA – on 25th June 2020. Pure coincidence, surprised myself.

I love this song! Some says it's repetitive - so? I had this module back in the '90s, and I still enjoy it at least as much as I did back then in 2020!
BTW, it's the same as AURORA.MOD here in ModArchive.

I love this tune! I first found this in 2018, I don't remember having this Mod back in the 1990ies or so. But I instantly loved it! Just awesome!

One of the first mods I heard, the melody stuck! And now like 20 years later I tried to find it. I thought it was 4mat and listened through all his music (like 5-10 seconds on each song here), but I couldn't find it. Then the day after, I started going through the Top Chart here at modarchive, and BOOM! Here it was! =)

The original composer is Horace Wimp? Why isn't this in the information here?

It's overrated, and repetitive. I really like the beginning of the song, but it quickly goes downhill beyond there. When you listen to the song, it sounds like as if the creator tried very very hard to try to extend the song, but it ends up sounding worse as it goes. The beginning is pretty much the only good part.

It's not terrible but it's really repetitive...and I don't see why it is so popular. It's just another module in the archive.

Nothing really wrong with this module but it's obviously overrated, it's an old module but it's actually a little, a LITTLE good, it's not repetitive like others have said. I like it but I hate it, I don't want to give it something too low because it doesn't deserve something really low HOWEVER it's not really composed well, but it's age can be an excuse for that.. Nothing special really but it's one of the most well known mods. Nothing out of tune, but the sad thing is it's too short and it ends abruptly. It would be better if it was longer and actually was completed properly. It's good but I'd say it's a 4-6, but I give it a 5 and below personally, this song gave me mixed emotions, I don't really know what to rate it.. Was thinking about giving it a 6 but the way it ended ruined that. I made this review as I was listening to it. So yeah, 5/10. it's a good example module at the best. It's average. I made this review while listening to it so it's not my best but oh well, this is the best I got for an average module. xD

Not really that good at all. Very repetitive. I have no idea why the f*ck this is the most downloaded module. Maybe it's because its one of the most well known modules. Not highly recommended. If you look at the most revered modules, then this one will drop down to number 15. It's a wonder people favorited this module. You have been warned...

Nothing really special.

After all them years this is still very catchy little mod.The good old days wraped up in a mod

member Posted by rainwarrior on Wed 29th Aug 2012, rated 10 / 10.

In my mind this is the definition of what a MOD is.

member Posted by Nebula01 on Sun 6th May 2012, rated 6 / 10.

A bit repetitive yeah. Though it has a catchy flute part. A good song.

member Posted by Faz_Dude on Mon 23rd Apr 2012, rated 10 / 10.

This is like a winter wonderland of music in just 1 track! I love this piece and think it should be at the top more often.

member Posted by Beyond on Fri 13th Apr 2012, rated 9 / 10.

Awesome tropical beach game tune!
Technically it's not very advanced but it has won a place in my heart after hearing it only a couple of times.

member Posted by deadMan on Fri 25th Nov 2011, rated 3 / 10.

I thought it will be a lot better than i heard

member Posted by Quentin PEREIRA on Sun 26th Dec 2010, rated 10 / 10.

A very good music ! Can i diffuse it in my webradio ? http://www.radio.djyako.fr

member Posted by Saga Musix on Tue 28th Jul 2009, rated 7 / 10.

A tune by Horace Wimp. Very nice stuff, yet a bit repetitive.

member Posted by horsesalongthedrop on Sat 27th Jun 2009, rated 10 / 10.

I got this song way way back with a copy of VERGE, and it has been my favorite song ever since.

It's just so awesome!

member Posted by Sedds on Sat 31st Jan 2009, rated 8 / 10.

Some great melodies here; the slap bass goes in perfect harmony with the flute, plus a couple other verses with some horn-esque instruments I can't quite place.

member Posted by A-zTech on Sat 18th Oct 2008, rated 10 / 10.

yahoo, so this is pure classic? if it was released earlier than 1990, than i admire it! good oldskool style, simple yet catchy melody, quite neat thing for each oldskool picker. 5 stars.

member Posted by wildweasel on Wed 23rd Jul 2008, rated 8 / 10.

This is an old classic - listened to this one a lot as a kid, and I'm glad it's still around. The title implies the northern lights (aurora borealis) and the music itself is fairly relaxing in that regard.

member Posted by i7 on Wed 26th Sep 2007, rated 6 / 10.

So the most downloaded mod eh.... Well it's okay but not amazing. There was one cool horn part later on but there was also that bad drum part too. It's like one big flute solo. Kind of dissapointing.
