I have
been tracking on and off for about three years trying to get the hang of
it. I'm 16 now and I think I've got a better idea of how to do it. I realize
now that (for me at least) tracking is the least difficult part of writing
music. Rather, coming up with a tune and melody and altering it as the
song goes is more difficult. I only hope to transcend those truly great
artists like PM, Awesome, Acumen, Lucky, Gargoyle and various others, as
we all do. I haven't learned anything much directly from other people,
but have looked at other's tracks and figured most of it out myself. Everytime
I write a track, it feels like luck because I have no musical experience,
training, etc. I can't play any instruments and I can barely read music.
I am currently writing music tracks for a freeware HalfLife mod called
AMOD. Most of my tracks for the game are at my site.
