"colors are black?" was composed in 2000 as an experimental tune with the purpose of being under 5 000 bytes large. I also investigated the possibility of in-pattern tempo changes with this tune. The tune is part of an experimental series of tiny chiptunes which are all named after various colours. Other tunes in the series are "colors are cyan?" and "colors are lilack?". "colors are black" was the only tune in the series to be released. - warhawk

Not a very good tune in my opinion. A simple sine-like wave is used to form a simple 4-pattern melody. The tempo changes (by purpose, of course) in the middle of the patterns, but it doesn't sound very good.

This song is not really that bad. This is more of an Ambient tune though but it still sounds quiet good in my opinion an has kind of an atmospheric feel to it which is good for a 4-channel song.
