I have browsed through Nino's works and the only ones that got my attention are this one, Waiting for Calypso and Tribes of time. What's noteworthy about this one in particular are the xylophone and flute which work alright for this kind of track. As the artist mentioned, this was inspired by 2 movies and even though Electronica elements are present throughout, it certainly feels like the musical score of some movie. The main melody is easy to listen to, but sadly the song doesn't have a hook, and it's missing the impact, being kinda repetitive and all. Personally, I found Tribes of time a little better. No complaints on the technical side, but considering the artist's words, these kinds of weirder songs are definitely not for everyone to enjoy.

   Stuph

Finally after a while of doing more normal songs I'm
back at doing these kinds of weirder songs that
are so familiar to me. This is what it's all about.

This song is my contribution to the Assembly '97
                                      multichannel music compo. Hopefully
this song will be chosen to the final compo,
and if it does, I hope somebody will vote for it,
but I think that this is too heavy for the jury to like
it, but I don't care 'coz I think this sounds cool.

This song has in it some of the elements and a part
of the sound of the musics of 'The VectorSpaceProject' so
a thanx should go to Wangratta, Australia to Haze,
who suggested the team up. Thanx for the fresh sound man.
Also a thanx to Dan for 'beta testing' the song.

I recommend that this song would be played with
Impulse Tracker 2.10 or higher using interpolation.
Then again if you want to fuck up the song then use Cubic
Player, but I don't recommmend that 'coz CP
doesn't know how to play .IT files.

Sample credits can be found in the sample
filenames. If it's empty them I don't remember
                                                      whose sample it is.

This song owes a great deal of it's inspiration
to Phillip Noyce's 'The Saint' and
to Luc Besson's 'The Fifth Element'.
I had already had the idea for this song in my head
for a long time, but I hadn't really yet had enough
inspiration to track it. Then when I saw 'The Saint' the
idea really started to cook. The final kick for
me was the premiere of 'The Fifht Element' in Helsinki.
