DJ Duffy Presents 'Do That To Me 1999'
The Track - My first official release on the Internet soon after
joining AudioTroniX. Wrote this about a year ago, originally in ST3, and
then ported it over to IT for release puposes. Why? Better quality
samples of course =)
The Inspiration - Originally by The Lisa Marie Experience, this 1996
release was a stormer in the clubs around the time of what are now
referred to as 'club classics'. I took samples from the original, threw
in a bit of Perpetual Motion's 'Keep On Dancin' and came up with a
pumping club anthem.
The Samples - The breakbeat came straight off vinyl; 187 Lockdown's
definitive speed garage classic 'Gunman'. 2 Unlimited's Ray makes an
appearance with some vocal cuts along with the samples from the original
version of this choon. The original synth from 'Keep On Dancin' is used
along with Gunman's hoover bassline. The "Ooh Ahh" thing came from some
4 channel Betty Boo rip-off. Nice.
The Shouts - All those keeping the tracking scene fresh and vibrant; The
AudioTroniX boys pumping out those industrial vibes; the Romford boyz
(keep on drinkin') and anyone who just might know who the hell I am =)
