Time to introduce to you all a new artist from Sweden. He calls himself as Tigerwookie and composes mostly dance/trance stuff. This song is pretty nice opening from him. Lucia has also inspired other artists to compose. BAM has a song about Lucia and like there, the vocals in this song are propably from the same game : "Lucia of Lunaria". The song starts right away with steady beat and vocals. Sounds really like some of these trancetraxx that fill many compilation cd's. Couple synthsamples come in and when the intro seems to end and the song really begins, the song sounds like Westbam for a while. The song plays nicely into second part (2.00min) and this is the place that I love.=) The synthsound here is very usual in this kind of style, but somehow it sounds so good here and I've rarely even heard it in the mods. And from this point till the end the song really sound like a dancetrack. I know that the beat in this style usually is very similar through the song and songs, but it would sometimes be nice to hear something different. Good drums were played in this piece anyway despite the lack of variation. The song also sounded pretty "thin" and light... Propably because the strings were on pretty low volume. Those were good but weren't used effectively enough. In other words : This track was very nice overall. It has very good parts and sides, but for me it sounded also somehow too tame.=) Nice work Tigerwookie. Samples were both 8- and 16-bit, but the result is quite clean and pure. Drums were well selected and I loved the synths in the end. And as told, the strings were also nice but were too silent (for me).=) Artist didn't used that much of effects but nothing in this song requires them, so since Tigerwookie used effects where needed, I'll believe that he knows the use of 'em.=) Nothing to complain on the technical side. One more thing - panning was nice on the samples, especially in the synths ;)
