jivatma is probably using the German QWERTZU keyboard layout. Therefore his Y key is where the rest of us have the Z key, making the "<>|" key the "Key right of LShift" mentioned in the manual. If there's nothing between your Z and LShift, you're probably US English (isn't this fun??). No worries though, you can use the Caps Lock key for the same effect. UNLESS you're on a Mac...

The HD Recorder panel has its separate output options, you should run into them before you can export a wav. Volume ramping is toggled under the Resampler selection in the Quality section, just like the real-time playback counterpart in the Config panel.

I like the idea of visualizing song spd in the instrument envelopes but concerning tremolo and tremor.. They need to stay compatible with the original implementations. Use a volume envelope loop if you want synchronized volume pulsation.

Keyboard layouts vary greatly between European countries. For example: my "key below esc" produces § and ½. My tilde key is next to Enter, my "key right of LShift" does <, > and |. I am under the impression that the updated manual on the website says "Windows and SDL" instead of "Windows only", I could be wrong though. But you can see it's not so simple, the roundabout ways of expression are there for compatibility. Take "backtick" for example: for one, I have never heard that word used before and for two, that particular key (combination) does absolutely nothing in MilkyTracker on my keyboard.
