Help Support Topics Archive / The site thinks I don't exist
« on: August 10, 2023, 16:13:38 »
I can't login using my login credentials at all, the site thinks they don't exist... the only way I can login is to use the notification email I get when I receive a private message. Please help! I like to login at work and can't access my email from work, for some reason tracking is always on my mind at work ;)

MilkyTracker Feature Requests / I know it's a big ask, but....
« on: August 31, 2022, 09:13:45 »
I'd really like to be able to sample from my hardware straight into milky. Right now 8bitbubsy's clone gets a lot of use from me because the sampling is a feature I use all the time... don't get me wrong I'll still use both and Renoise as well, but Milky would get a lot more use from me if sampling was added. I'm not a rich man but I'd be willing to donate some money, like if this was on the horizon I could just put aside some money each paycheck... I've been giving 5 bucks a month to Vital since it was released if Milky had some kind of deal like that I'd be happy to sign up but either way I could just hit that donate button on an interval. I really like the interface on it and how you can adjust the colors of the different columns in the pattern editor... or the fact that you can have quadruple the channels on an XM if you want.. that's great. Renoise is great and all but I like the fact that Milky is available to everyone. I'd really like to see it developed, It kind of is really becoming FT3 in a way and I think that's a great thing! Just need to get sampling in there to really open it up for a more fluid workflow.

Heck, instead of making a new topic for a really minor request I'll just add it here... I would love to be able to change the color of the envelope line... it's silly but it would be cool. Or if I just haven't been able to figure it out please let me know.

Thanks for your consideration :)

MilkyTracker Feature Requests / Line Highlighting
« on: August 31, 2022, 08:57:08 »
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature... so I figured I'd put it here. I can't seem to have Highlight 1 and 2 active at the same time... I'd really like this to be possible. I would very much appreciate it.

MilkyTracker Feature Requests / FT3????
« on: June 27, 2015, 05:30:40 »
Has there been any talk of Milky being the platform to make a FT3? I know others have tried and honestly MadTracker Came the closest, but I think MilkyTracker would be the ideal starting point for a REAL FT3... or do I have to learn to code? LOL. I wish I had the talent to code a tracker, because it would already be in the works. I've tried a LOT of trackers and Milky is by farthe most FUN to use. I recently made the switch to linux or I would be also using Bero as well, if I could have a Bero Tracker with MT's interface and sample editor(also by far the best I've used on a tracker, some DSP's and it would be AMAZING).

It's not like I want a lot... 64 tracks, NNA's, Just a couple of effects like Multimode resonant filters, Delay, Reverb, Chorus, Flanger,Phaser... just the basics, hell I could do without most of the effects, the most useful would be more tracks and filters. And yes I know about renoise.... I have the demo and it's great, but just not really what I need.

There's nothing like the feeling you get when loading up a tracker in low res screen mode :)

I'm not really demanding someone start working on milky again... rather just trying to find out if there's anyone out there talking about continuing the legacy... another part of it is that it makes me a little sad knowing that such a great and influential piece of software is long dead, but people are still heavily using it, I'd hate to see FastTracker truly die. To me it's a stroke of luck that people have done the work to bring it up to speed, working on today's computers, but yet there's no forward progress... the program will just die again eventually. I guess the real reason I still don't make the switch to other, newer, more capable trackers is after the interface issues, it's the lack of a replay routine for 9/10ths of them. There's a part of me that wants to be involved in the demoscene and small video games, so I only stick to trackers that can be used in a demo.

And now I'm rambling, if you have read all of this thanks for taking the time to read my babble :)

Tracking / Where to find plugins for BeRo?
« on: April 18, 2015, 14:10:36 »
I'm looking for BeRo Tracker Classic's native format plugins, I believe it's .BTP and BTPi format.

Please Help I really want to make serious use of this tracker.

Tracking / BeRo Tracker (also vs. Schism)
« on: April 18, 2015, 14:08:22 »
I've been trying it out lately and it seems very good. I've read some negative comments about it on the internet but mostly regarding lag, which, I experience none of. If you want to use this tracker with a P2 with 256mb of RAM I don't know about that one. It is a modern tracker after all. One thing in particular that drew me in to this tracker is the full support for the IT format. I never could get into IT because of the interface but BeRo Tracker gets you the IT format with more of a FT2 like feel. It's still on multiple pages, but it does it in a very convenient way.

I compared it with Schism, and it sounds WAY, WAY BETTER. The sounds are more upfront, mix better and are clearer. I was blown away by the difference. There are a couple of aspects of the sound that Schism produces better, but all in all BeRo wins by a LANDSLIDE. So if anyone tried earlier versions of BeRo and didn't like it, I urge you to try it again. It runs really smoothly on my machine, it will be my go-to along with SunVox.

If anyone knows how to use plugins in the sample editor (or where to find plugs it will accept) please share this knowledge, that and the ability to record samples would make this my dream software.

MilkyTracker Support / Changing the color of the scrollbar?
« on: March 22, 2015, 01:24:31 »
It along with a few other colors aren't included in the color editor, any way to edit the .cfg file? When I try in notepad Milky gets very upset.
