How about if you simultaneously press the Fn key with those combinations?

I use PC-keyboard (102-key), I do not have the key "fn"

Then there's FunctionFlip which lets you set this mode per-key which in theory is quite handy. (I use F1-F9 as regular function keys but the volume controlling F10-F12 flipped.) In practice the program isn't flawless and sometimes the keystrokes go through the opposite way or [any key] gets translated to an F key press, etc. Worth slightly more than the trouble I'd say.

for some reason, the program does not work on my mac. Perhaps, because the PC-keyboard.

MilkyTracker Community / ShortCut in Mac OS X Lion
« on: September 12, 2012, 22:08:47 »
Hi, guys. I recently started using a Mac. The question came up with MilkyTracker under Mac OS X Lion.

How do I get to work with MilkyTracker with FT2-like combinations of keys? In Ubuntu, I had to disable the system shortkey "Alt F4", and enjoy with "edit-mode MilkyTracker" (because in Ubuntu not bind note-off for Caps Lock).

In Mac OS worse. Not work a combination of Shit-F3, Shift-F4, Shift-F5, Alt-F3, Alt-F5, Ctrl-Ctrl-F3, etc ... Some simply intersect with some system combinations, while others simply do not work as they should.

Is there a way to get to work with MilkyTracker with familiar to me shortkeys?

Demoparties, Events & Compos / ChipYxa#6 coming soon (november)

It’s time to discuss the coming ChipYxa#6.

There are following suggestions about the rules.
- To separate a nominations:

* Oldschool: An ahx, nsf, ay, sid, vgm, sap, mod40k formats. (mod, s3m, xm, it <= 40kb). A classic oldschool sound and style way (chip-arpeggio and other chip sound imitations)

* Newschool: a mod, s3m, ,xm, it formats <= 100kb formats. Instrumental, classic, alternative music and all other music which is don’t meet the oldschool nomination conditions. But it is not a “for those who was not able to cope with it” nomination. It is simply a separated way.

* Exe-music (32kb-executable)): An any music which is represented as a executable file for windows, linux. The file size should be not more than 32 Kb

- Not more than 2 instances for each nomination.

- Anonymity is up to choice. You may hide your info, or you may don’t.

I have solved a problem as follows. I work with the win32-version through Wine, switching off in configuration GNOME a combination alt-f4. All works normally in this case. Including note off (caps lock). Not clearly following for what then the version for Ubuntu is necessary? It in fact is not suitable for use.

I try to work with Milky in Linux (Ubuntu). I can not use a combination of keys like-Fasttracker to not come across reserved combinations GNOME. For example Alt+F4 (copy selected block), or Caps Lock (Note off), does not work. In Windows Milky priority used all the necessary combinations how to be about Linux? To not disconnect conterminous with Milky hot-keys for all system.

(this question and for KDE)
