Greetings. You can choose the "Amplify" option to change all selected volume values by some percentage. In the "Amplify by" field, type in the desired percent (see attached screenshot). If you would like to decrease the volume, type in something below 100 %, if you would like to increase the volume, type in something above 100 %.
For example, initial volume values are 64, amplification percentage is 50 – volume values of 32 will be the result. Or another example: you would like to make volume values of 40 instead of 16, then 40 / 16 = 2.5, multiply that by 100, 2.5 * 100 = 250, type in "250" in the "Amplify by" field, and all selected values will become 40.
If the volume values in your selection are different, the "Amplify" option will still work.

Tracking / Re: XM module with stereo samples
« on: March 15, 2023, 22:10:44 »
Hi all,

I'm the developer of the Real SoundTracker project (sf.net/p/soundtracker). Now I'm working about stereo samples support in ST, but I can't get an XM module with stereo samples for testing. Could anybody provide me such a module?

Regards,
Yury.

Greetings.
I found a couple of modules that match your criteria.

1. https://modarchive.org/module.php?56639 – this one actively uses 4 stereo samples (sample slots 3 to 6) for percussion.
2. https://modarchive.org/module.php?186387 – this has only 1 stereo sample (sample slot 8 ), which only plays in the very first pattern of the module.

Hope this helps you.

Got it. Sorry for the disturbance.

At the end of the Member Chart (https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_chart&query=topmembers), there are three inactive members:
1. https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=81654
2. https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=81940
3. https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_profile&query=81977
who logged in last time in 2008.
Their profiles say "Contributed 1 rating(s)", but when clicked, it says "(username) has not posted any comments yet..."
Knowing that one comment gives 30 chart points and every day 15 points are deducted, it seems that these members should not be in this chart. They now have 10 chart points each. This number does not change.

Help Support Topics Archive / Re: Re: duplicate modules
« on: February 19, 2022, 19:56:58 »

First file ("crockets" / crockets.mod) is corrupted.
Third file ("crockets theme" / crocket-925.mod) has different samples, unlike the 1st and the 2nd file.

Not sure if the fifth file should be considered a duplicate. It is similar to four previous files, but has some differences:
  • it plays at speed of 9 ticks per row instead of 8,
  • pattern data is slightly different,
  • patterns 2 to 18 are repeated,
  • samples 2, 8, 9 are different,
  • sample 12 added.

When I was doing my massive post about Maktone's modules in the past year, I have overlooked this module:

Please assign it to his profile too:

Thanks.

Thanks for the explanation. One mystery has been struck off my list.

Bug Reports / Two search engine bugs
« on: November 11, 2021, 11:28:48 »
I found two and a half bugs related to module searching.

1. When searching modules via Artist Search with "Guessed Artist" option selected, it appears that "Most recently archived" and "Least recently archived" sorting options in the "Change Order" drop-down list work exactly the opposite: "Most recently archived" option shows least recently archived modules first, while "Least recently archived" option shows most recently archived modules first. These two options are swapped.
Example:
https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=search&search_type=guessed_artist&query=Djamm&page=0&order=3
and
https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=search&search_type=guessed_artist&query=Djamm&page=0&order=4

2. When browsing modules by license (https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_license&query=publicdomain), the "Change License" drop-down list selector works as intended: it actually shows modules licensed under chosen license, the title above 6 browsing options ("Random", "New additions", etc.) displays chosen license correctly, but in two cases the "Change License" selector doesn't display the chosen license correctly:
1) when "Non-commercial" option is selected, it says "Non-commercial No Derivatives";
2) when "Non-commercial Share Alike" option is selected, it says "Non-commercial".
In other cases, the "Change License" selector works fine: when "Non-commercial No Derivatives" option is selected, it says "Non-commercial No Derivatives"; when "Share Alike" option is selected, it says "Share Alike"; etc.

2a. There are, however, several modules that are not licensed under chosen license, but they still appear in search results. Only two examples are illustrated.

Understood. Thank you very much for going through my massive list. And could you please then link https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=35096 and https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=166459 to Maktone's profile too, like you did with other modules from the list, so that everything would become (almost) perfect? Thanks in advance.
