The Lobby / Re: I eat nitrotracker for breakfast

Sure, the nitrotracker songs on there are Invisible adventure, WASD, Ice Cream and Sock Bandit.

Deep in the well was made with Renoise (my favorite tracker) with plenty of VSTs and effects.

Thanks azop corp  ;D

These are a few I'm especially proud of. I F'ing love these songs, especially Ice cream and takeyosoxoff.

Also I only consider ice cream and evr1 finished songs. The rest could use real endings.  :)

Just thought I'd let you know.

I Might Sleep On Your Couch.

Yes very cool! I have not tried running nitrotracker through any effects yet, but what you did sounds great.

Since the topic of this thread is "Songs made using only your voice"  I figure I should add some of my own! These are some favorites of mine that are made up of entirely vocal samples, recorded through the DS built-in microphone.

Tracking / Re: Ten tips for beginner trackers

Is it common for one column or track to  be used for multiple instruments?

I was looking in this thread hoping there would be a note on organization of a module.

I am often guilty of not isolating my instruments to their own column. This is mostly for songs I make with Nitrotracker.  Renoise forces me to be more orderly due to dsp on tracks.

Do any of you obsess over this detail, even when track effects arent present?

my favorite set of 8-bit samples came from the user hardPCM on freesound. It seems to be lots of samples straight from NES or GB games. I'm sure most of you will recognize a number of them.

Heres a link to his Chip Pack

NitroTracker Support / Re: Will there be a synth in future versions?
« on: December 12, 2008, 19:23:34 »
I really hope this comes to fruition. This is already my favorite composition tool, synthesis would surely take it over the edge.

[this is me dreaming, but] I'd love to see nitrotracker gain an fx column for changing synth params (or volume, starting point, etc)!

Well, I only tried it once and I had to get surgery because of it... long story, but I will never try eating an electronic device again.

Seriously though, I love trackers. I started 2 years ago when I bought a Nintendo DS after discovering Nitrotracker online. Now I also use Renoise ( altough probably not to its full potential!).  Nitrotracker is a great way to learn tracking, I'm glad I got into it.

I love tracking with free / found samples, but I dont know where to go for synth samples a lot of the time. You know, like simple sine, square, saw, etc.

On that note, I'd die for a copy of lsdj!

ahem, so...

I signed up here because I dont know anyone into trackers, and I figured this is a good place to figure out what I do and dont know.

I'll share some xm files at some point... I upload music to The nitrotracker songs are WASD (using demo song sounds), Ice Cream and Invisible Adventure (both all vocal sounds).  Deep In the Well is done on Renoise.
