Ah, yes, DosBox. Good software. But, you could also try to use command.com from the system folder to run old software on Windows NT and later. Here's how to use it:
1. Press [Windows (The button with the windows flag)]+[R] to open the box "Run..." or open it from the start menu.
2. Type command.com and press enter or click OK.
3. The DOS command-line-interpreter is now running!
4. If you want to know how to use it. Type "help" without the double-quotes to get a list of commands. Then type the name of command and a "/?" after it. Example:
chdir /?
People who had old DOS computers from the 80's and the early 90's will recognise themselves.
You could also use cmd.exe which is more compatible with windows but less compatible with DOS (cmd.exe is actually 32-bit unlike command.com which is 16-bit).
If anyone is interested, you could also get GWBASIC from me. My first program was made using it. (GWBASIC is a common release of BASIC 1.2) However, that old game is corrupt - it was saved on a 5-inch floppy and that floppy was, unfortunately, exposed to sun.
If you need help with all this, you could ask me more about it all by sending an e-mail or PM.
