Trackers of a certain sound ...
« on: May 21, 2006, 18:47:06 »

Basically, to put it briefly, MCA/Michiel van den Bos is my favorite of all.
Are there any trackers out there similar to his slower, melodic, chillout pieces (like in Deus Ex, for example)

I'd just ask if there were any artists similar to him but he has done some breakbeat and more house-y style stuff before so I figured I'd be specific with a genre.

Anyways, yeah, if someone here knows what I'm referring to and can recommend a few to me, I'd be VERY grateful.

Thanks! :D

Listening to some of his mods, not all are melodic/chillout pieces, he writes other genres too. I think its mainly because of the game type, why his style has developed such.  Unreal, Age of Empires, Deus Ex etc...

btw.  I thought most of the Deus Ex tunes were done by Alexander Brandon (Siren)?

I'll check out some tunes and see what/who I come up with.

Yeah, I know his sounds vary alot :) . Like I said in my post, I knew he did many other genres as well, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of similar artists to the chillout style he creates in games like Deus Ex and Unreal.

and yes, in Deus Ex, Michiel only did 3 songs by himself as well as an Alex collaboration track.
