Is there an esy way to get samples from VST's
« on: June 24, 2009, 00:59:18 »

Is there any easy or simple way of converting VST instruments into samples?  I have made a few songs and I would like to upload them but as they use mostly VST instruments it would be pointless to upload them.  I don't really want to have to record every note the VST plays from every song as that would take up too mutch time.

Well, the only solution that comes to my mind to render a few notes of each instrument by writing them in an empty  pattern and then exporting this pattern with wav export.

Xlutop chainer allows you to do this very easily -- you set up the instrument, then do an export by specifying which notes you want to render and their duration. It can even export them to an SF2 (with samples mapped across more than one note if appropriate).
