I could write something for you, but there's a huge difference between smallest possible and 4kB. :)

Schism Tracker looks like Impulse Tracker...

Go, Bruce!

I'm afraid there's no such command but how about deleting the MilkyTracker config file located in your home directory (I think) and then running the app?

How about Schism or Chibi Trackers?

Oh, I see. But just so you know, some would consider forcing a stop a bad tracking habit. Some people (mainly programmers) like to loop modules over and over on the background because that's what they do so naturally.

MilkyTracker Support / Re: Previewing .xi Instruments/Samples?
« on: June 06, 2009, 22:33:25 »
There's no preview because we feel the internal file browser does the job nicely, just as it did in FT2. Click Disk Op. and the tiny button marked FLIP to access it. You just have to remember to select an unused instrument slot before you load an instrument in order not to overwrite your existing ones. When you actually load a sample/instrument this way, you can try it out in any pitch. "Tracker samples" often come in varying quality and one set sample rate for previewing wouldn't work all that well for a wide lo-fi - hi-fi range.

Protip: While you have to double click files in the internal browser to load them, the right mouse button only needs one click. ;)

In the instrument editor, you can change the relative note and fine tune for each sample of your instrument. No need to resample, just use the relative note value to compensate for your key mapping so you can have all your samples at the same pitch while actually different notes on the pattern.

Interesting sounds. I like bits here and there but I think the next step in evolving your tracking would be finding harmony in different instruments/elements of your song. Good start, nonetheless.
