Lol, more rips..

Funny, I have another mod by bt_me with a MGS credit.  The incoming outburst mod name is well funny and pretty ironic.

I have no idea how to spot these rips as the filesize of some of these is way out and not so obvious to identify.  Think I'll just delete them all...

Introspection.xm  -  60:00 (& a 2nd version only 47mins long)
Somnus.xm         -   60:00

Those are the only 2 that are 60mins long..

The few others I checked that were the same length are in fact false. It seems a lot of modules had delays/loops on the last pattern making 1:36 mods nearly an hour..  :D

So, did J. Graham ever create actual tracked modules, as in the Cavin Crew/MGS/DJ Distance or as his real name?

Tbh, I'd forgotten I still had those 9 modules until this thread.

It's been years so I might not have this right but..

Wasn't those the mods that were uploaded here, by someone called DJ Distance that turned out to be ripped? I remember the shitstorm about J Graham or something, on here and over at CTG as well. I got a funny feeling that it might have been me that spotted them to start with? Xerxes, Andromeda and a few others mods that were clearly ripped.

Then some more mods turned up credited with Cavin Crew and/or MGS that were also spotted a couple of days later...

Maybe it's archived here or somewhere..  Apart from the mods that were identified as ripped I kept the 9 others (that I know of) for posterity...

Games that use the earlier Unreal Engine builds (like Unreal, UT and Deus Ex) support Direct music (MID, MIDI and RMI) and Music Modules - usually shortened to "MOD", but not to be mistaken with a game mod! Modules can have different formats, like .s3m, .xm, .it, .mod.

The modules were easily rippable, but Modplug Player I think actually played the umx format directly. OpenMPT probably does as well.  I think the actual module was intact in the umx file, just that it used a umx header. Saga probably knows more...
