sample tune
« on: January 09, 2011, 12:24:53 »

Hi all, I'm trying to make a mod pt compatible, and due to the short range of possible notes, sometimes I play my sample to much high.

I wonder:

What can I do if I want to pitch the sample up without ruining to much the original sound?

Best tool / engine / tracker to do this?

So far I tried with soundtouch and bass libraries, these last look to be better.

Thank you

the usual practice is to just up/downsampling the sample, not pitch-shifting it.

Yes, but as colliteral side effect causes also a loss of quality
