So, is there any progress on this musicdisk, or the thread is dying?

It's only been a few weeks since the last post, but if this is still bumping, I'm sorry.

Look what I made! / My First Eurodance Song: 'Good Wednesday'
« on: April 15, 2018, 18:53:39 »

I don't live in Europe, but I just made my first Eurodance (or whatever it's called) song.

'Good Wednesday'

I apologise if it is not as good as an Elwood track, since I am new to this genre.

I don't use Milkytracker, but the trick you said applies to just about every tracker that supports XM, if not MOD or IT as well.

I know of a similar trick where instead of modifying a duplicated sample, you just use the same instrument on the 2nd channel, but apply a very slight portamento to create a cool phaser effect.

If you duplicate the sample, but invert it, and then apply the very slight portamento to that(or finetune it a bit), it sounds even more phaser-y. And pan one of them to the left speaker and one to the right speaker, and it might even sound cooler.

That's about all I know that applies to XMs and actually qualifies as a 'trick'.

I don't think it's some weird hidden rule that they somehow expect you to know.

It is not easy to make your own drum samples, so I don't think taking samples should be that big of a deal, but I don't know if it already is.

I don't think I can make a UI for tracker modules.

I had problems with libraries, Visual Studio, etc.

I can make a UI in Visual Basic, but I don't know how to make it play directly from the MOD/S3M/XM/IT tracker files.

Alright, cool. Are we ready to plan any rules yet?

Use the 'Fxx' command.

You can use 'F06' to change the tick speed, or 'F05', or 'F03', etc.

If you want to do it between patterns, then at the start of the next pattern, that's where you put the 'Fxx' command. The command is for the effect sub-column of every channel column.

Or maybe we can all manage it together. What do you think?
