Use the 'Fxx' command.
You can use 'F06' to change the tick speed, or 'F05', or 'F03', etc.
If you want to do it between patterns, then at the start of the next pattern, that's where you put the 'Fxx' command. The command is for the effect sub-column of every channel column.

This website isn't really that active, but you're welcome.
If you have Windows, I suggest OpenMPT. It's interface is easier to use for me than any other tracker. It supports MODs, XMs, S3Ms, ITs, and has its own format, too.

Don't worry. A 4-channel MOD should have just as much chance to win as a 32-channel MOD or 32-channel XM or 60-channel IT. It's not all about the channels.
