I mean, I assume it's not eha909@cityweb.de anymore, is it?
Please note: Your main modarchive.org account will not work here, you must create a forum account to post on the forums.

this is the "shortcut"-version with downsampled 8bit-samples (1mb limit) there is of course an original with 16bit/44khz-samples which is about 1 minute longer. duh...
New World Order has been merged.Oh, I understand now.QuoteI don't really know why that module has been merged with occ-san.mod, but these weren't:Because this is an ongoing process and I don't think anyone has reported them yet. And: All of this is a manual process, often it is not obvious at all which version is the "correct" one. Mistakes happen. From what I can see, OCC-SAN.MOD was the older copy of the two files in the archive (and not ripped from Need for Madness if that's what you implied; it's just likely that they downloaded this version for their game instead) and we decided to keep the older version.
occ-san-geen_long.mod (hash 3a54fc9fd94687a8f7d6e77589949d99) has been screened before and was rejected for the following reason: TIDY-UP MERGED. occ-san-geen.mod already exists as OCC-SAN.MOD on the archive..
I just tried NoiseTracker (v1.0 to be specific) and it works fine here with a standard A500 config, Kickstart 1.3 (rev 34.5) and a Workbench 1.3 floppy image. Note that you can simply cancel the "insert ST-00..." prompt and the application will still start - given that the rest of the environment is okay.Ok - I worded that part incorrectly, I meant trying to make the ST-00 a floppy.QuoteI'm going to try making it into a floppy disk. That won't work - if you got the ROM file, you need to use it as a ROM. There are both Kickstart disks and Kickstart ROMs but I would recommend to use the ROM for ease of use.
Just to confirm what you did - you pointed the "System ROMs" path in the WinUAE setup at the directory containing your Kickstart 1.3 ROM and it said that it didn't find any ROMs?
Unless Noisetracker has a specific issue with using hard disks instead of floppies, you should be able to just create a hard disk from any folder in WinUAE and slap the ST-00 label on it. This is way more comfortable than working with floppies, too. It's what I do whenever I have to test something in ProTracker. For some reason it just keeps going in an endless loop of alternating between a black screen and Amiga DOS. Do you need a Kickstarter ROM for it or does the WinUAE replacement Kickstarter ROM work fine? For some reason WinUAE wouldn't accept my Kickstarter 1.3 ROM. I'm going to try making it into a floppy disk.
If it absolutely has to be a floppy image, try ADF Opus.
There is a Protracker clone that works on windows? That's pretty cool, but I was already aware of it, and it isn't really answering my question

Sounds like Global Trash (mod) by Jesper KydIndeed it's a remix of global trash: https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=97932
I downloaded eagles_m.mod from that site (using Firefox) and it plays just fine here. The file you attached however seems to be missing crucial data (a bit more than a kilobyte) from the beginning of the file, which is why OpenMPT and any other sensible player will not be able to decode it.I tried just saving the link as a mod and it actually works, thanks.
MPT 1.0 assumes it's a SoundTracker MOD file but naturally fails at decoding it in any sensible way (because it's supposed to be a ProTracker MOD file). OpenMPT will not assume it's a SoundTracker MOD because it does more thorough checks on the file validity than MPT 1.0 does.
So yes, I suspect it's something on your end (or somewhere inbetween, e.g. your ISP).
I use Windows 10 and Chrome..I'm downloading the files then trying to play them. Doesn't have anything to do with the Temp folder, since they don't work when put in another folder either, and other MODs work just fine in that folder.
They play fine in MPTM & Milkytracker (tracker programs), Modplug Player, XMPlay (mod players)... I don't need to test anything else if they work in those 4. I downloaded from various folders, various mods with various extensions, they all played fine. Prowiz recognises them as 4 channel protracker mods as does the ripper I use.
Are you downloading them from within the program your trying to play them in or just downloading them from within a browser?
I only mention the browser because recently Chrome started blocking downloading from certain FTP sites as the files were dangerous (ie this one and even Scene.org)! Even though they are only data files it keeps blocking them. I have to go into Options/Download and click each mod that I want to keep. I'm wondering if that's a possibility. I spent a while looking for how to turn it off in Chrome online, but I can't find a definitive answer.
