I don't think anybody recommends using the Java player because of inaccuracy reasons. You could get almost the same results by having XMPlay set to monitor your clipboard, hitting the Random Pick! link in the "Music..." navigation menu and using the right-click menu to copy the module's download link to the clipboard (where XMPlay will see it and play it). If you're interested and need any help with the setup, ask.

MilkyTracker Bug Reports / Re: Emulating F00, the correct way
« on: December 23, 2013, 16:17:51 »
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind this getting fixed. There just hasn't been any interest in doing that before, getting to the bottom of yet more silliness for questionable gain. Thanks for the specifics. I believe I saw Df mentioning on IRC that he could implement the fix. Sorry for being too tired and inactive a user to challenge your pedanticism. ;)

That there's no rational use for F00 other than stopping playback. This was a change to the original behavior, which was ignoring F00 entirely.

This behavior is actually by design and just about the only intentional departure from FT2-like playback.

Look for "transpose" in the manual.

Synthesizers, sound libraries, CDs, TV...

I think this could be handy but should be optional. Why limit editing/making non-Amiga MODs? It's 20+ years too late. ;)

Software Showcase / Re: Javascript Module Player

Well, the volume envelope timing was off with the first .xm I threw at it but these efforts are greatly appreciated. I don't care about the playback accuracy of any old module but once the performance and browser support are there, a js mod player could be tasty for new thigns.

MilkyTracker News / Re: Milkytracker now available on Haiku
« on: June 10, 2013, 08:48:59 »
It runs great on Haiku, and reminds me very much of FastTracker II.  But someone should post an entry for Milky Tracker on Haikuware.com.

That's cool to hear. And by all means, if you can, go ahead and post it. Unfortunately we aren't intimate with the Haiku scene and I for one had never heard about that site before.
